Who are Refunds Direct?

Refunds Direct Limited is a registered HM Revenue & Customs tax agent. We have been in business since 1999 offering UK taxpayers tax refund services on a no win no fee basis.  The company was founded by brother and sister team Mike and Carrie Oaten who are passionate about helping taxpayers reclaim money that's rightfully theirs.  The company has completed thousands of successful claims and refunded millions of pounds.  We are one of the most successful tax refund agents in the country and have never defaulted on a payment.

How do I know if I am eligible for a tax refund?

Simply enter your details on the home page of this website.  We will then contact you to advise you if you are eligible and how to make a claim - quickly and simply.

Are there lots of forms to fill in?

No.  We keep things as simple as possible.  We will complete the claim form with you, usually over the phone and send it to you for signature.  After you have returned the claim form to us we then work hard on your behalf to turn this claim into the maximum refund for you.  Our aim is for you to have a hassle free experience of our service.

How many years can I claim for?

You can claim up to 6 years.  Auto technicians can claim up to 10 years on the cost of their tools.

How does the Refunds Direct service work?

Once we receive your claim form you will be allocated a highly experienced case worker who will process and validate your claim.  He/She will liaise with HM Revenue and Customs on your behalf and secure you the maximum refund possible.  The case worker will also continue to keep you informed of the progress of your claim at regular intervals.  Our completion times are among the fastest and you could receive a refund with 4 - 6 weeks.

What will it cost me?

We offer our services on a no win, no fee basis.  This means that our fee is only due when you receive a refund from HM Revenue and Customs.  The fee is simply subtracted from the refund and the balance is sent out to you.  You pay us nothing if we fail to get you a refund.  It's as simple a s that.  Fees start at 18% plus VAT and reflect the amount of time and expertise necessary to secure the refund (full details are sent to you with the claim form).

How much money can I expect to get back?

The average refund is over £800 but many refund cheques are larger than that.
